Holyland Tour – 8 nights / 9 days

Tour Schedule

Day 1 – Arrival

Arrival in Tel Aviv. Meet at the airport with our guide and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 2 – Tel Aviv / Caesarea / Haifa

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to for the scenic tour of the city and visit to the Diaspora Museum and the city of Jaffa.  Visit Caesarea, its Roman and Crusader remains. The trip follows Haifa to visit the Carmelite Monastery of Stella Maris and, from Mount Carmel, enjoy a panoramic view of the Persian Gardens of Bahai Temple and Haifa Bay. Accommodation in Tiberias, one of the most sacred places for Judaism and Christianity. Overnight in Haifa.

Day 3 – Haifa / Nazareth / Cana / Tabor / Tiberias

Breakfast. Departure to Nazaré to visit the Church of the Annunciation and the workshop of Saint Joseph. Continue to the village of Cana of Galilee and continue the journey to Mount Tabor to visit the Basilica of the Transfiguration. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 4 – Tiberias / Tabgha / Capernaum / Golan Heights 

Breakfast. Departure to Tabgha, site of the Multiplication of Breads and Fish. Continue to Capernaum, where Jesus performed many miracles. Visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue of the fourth century and the house of Peter. Continuation to the Golan Heights. Return to Tiberias and lodging. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 5 – Tiberias / Yardenit / Qumram / Masada / Jerusalem

Breakfast. Departure to Yardenit, a traditional baptismal site on the Jordan River. Continue to Qumran, where the Essenes lived and where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then visit Massada, a symbol of the Jews’ resistance to the Romans. Proceed to the edge of the Dead Sea. Time for sea bath. Departure to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6 – Jerusalem

Breakfast at hotel. Departure towards the Mount of Olives. We continue to the Pater Noster Church and the Garden of Gethsemane. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicanu, the Cenacle (room of the Last Supper). Continue through the Jewish Quarter and Cardo Romano until the Western Wall. Accommodation. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 – Jerusalem

Breakfast and departure for the visit to the old part of the city. Pass through the Via Dolorosa, visiting the Church of the Flagellation, the Chapel of Pena, Calvary and Santo Sepulcro. In the afternoon visit to the Museum of Israel where is the Sanctuary of the Book and the model of Jerusalem in the days of Jesus. Visit to the Holocaust Museum. Accommodation. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8 – Jerusalem /Bethlehem 

Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Bethlehem to visit the Basilica of the Nativity, the Grotto of St. Jerome and the Church of St. Catherine. Return to Jerusalem to visit the district of Ein Karen, birthplace of John the Baptist and visit the churches of St. John and the Church of the Visitation. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 9 – Departure

Breakfast. In the afternoon, departure to Tel Aviv airport.
