5-DAY IN-DEPTH BANGKOK TOUR

Tour Schedule

DAY 1 ARRIVAL – BANGKOK

Upon your arrival in Bangkok, our guide will meet you at the airport at Exit C Gate No.10 and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is on your own.

DAY 2 BANGKOK

After breakfast at the hotel, start to discover Bangkok with your tour guide and driver. This Bangkok tour will take you to the colorful flower and vegetable market to experience real local life. Daily use flowers from other parts of the country are sold at wholesale prices at this biggest flower market in the city. The market also has sections that sell vegetables, fruits, spices, and herbs. You can find chilli peppers in all sizes and colours.

To avoid the crowded big groups, your next visit in the morning is the highlight of today’s tour – the renowned Grand Palace, one of the must-sees that adjoin Wat Phra Kaew, the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. Have lunch at a local restaurant nearby Grand Palace.

After lunch, continue your trip with a long-tail boat ride along the canal to see Thai houses and typical rural life. Bangkok was once known as the “Venice of the east” and this long-tailed boat tour takes you through its canals, locally known as Khlongs to explore a greener and more peaceful part of Bangkok. Leave the hassle of the city behind as you travel to the area where people live in houses on stilts and still travel by boat along the canals.

The last stop for today is Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, which is one of the most published images of Bangkok.

DAY 3 BANGKOK – AYUTTHAYA – BANGKOK

After breakfast at the hotel we drive north to Ayutthaya for a journey back in time to the former capital which is now UNESCO’s World Heritage site. You will start your sightseeing from Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful Summer Palace of Thailand. Continue to Wat Maha That, a classic temple ruin of Ayutthaya and famous for the picturesque Buddha head engulfed by the Bodhi tree roots. The foundation size, remaining prangs, and towers attest the significance during its time.

After a delicious Thai lunch, you move on to the Ayutthaya Historical Park and visit to the ancient palace ground. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, once a royal temple lying beside the Grand Palace, was once the most significant temple during Ayutthaya period. Adjacent to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is Viharn Phra Mongkolbopit, an impressive building that houses a large seated bronze Buddha image. Its rebuilt pristine hall was believed to be a replica of the old Assembly Hall of Ayutthaya.After the tour back to your hotel in Bangkok for overnight.

DAY 4 BANGKOK

After breakfast, you will drive outside Bangkok to visit the Train Market. There are enormous shrimp, bright red lobsters, tons of squid and big, big fish actually caught in Burmese waters. Then you will enter the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Sit down and take your pictures, try some mango and sticky rice or hot soup with fish balls.

Having lunch in a local restaurant, after lunch take a rest or walk around the market to take some photos, and then drive back to Bangkok arriving at your hotel around 15:30-16:00pm. Rest of day for some leisure time on your own.

DAY 5  DEPARTURE

Enjoy your free time untill local guide and driver transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
