Tour Schedule

Day 1

LONDON
Arrive at London Heathrow Airport. Meet out tour escort. Private motor coach transfer to our hotel. Overnight in London. (D)

Day 2

LONDON FULL DAY
Tour of London with your professional tour guide. Panoramic tour seeinh main tourist sites , such as the Tower of London, Londin Bridge .Westminsterabbey , Big Ben  ,  St. Paul’s Cathedral , Trafalgar square , Buckingham Palace , hyde Park , Oxford street   . Overnight in London.

Day 3

LONDON CANTERBURY OXFORD
Leave London and travel to Canterbury. There we follow the path of Chaucer’s pilgrims through the city, ending at the famous Canterbury Cathedral for a visit lead by a cathedral guide. After the Cathedral, free time and transfer to Oxford and visit some of the schools

Day 4

OXFORD COVENTRY YORK
Our first destination today is Coventry where we will visit the incredible Coventry Cathedral (with cathedral guide). The Cathedral is a memorial to the horrors of WWII. Around noon, we will arrive in Stratford made famous by Shakespeare, with an included visit to his birthplace. After lunch, we will explore the villages that were the homes to many of the Mayflower passengers. Today’s highlight is the visit of the glorious York Minster, the largest medieval cathedral in Northern Europe. We will spend the night in York.

Day 5

YORK – EDINBURGH
Today we’ll take a leisurely drive through Northern England and the softly rolling hills of the Scottish Southern Uplands. We will see the banks of the famous Firth of Forth on which Edinburgh, our destination for the next two nights, is situated.

Day 6

EDINBURGH
In the company of a local guide we will visit the home of John Knox and Presbyterianism. We’ll also visit St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh Castle, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse which is forever associated with Mary, Queen of Scots. Afterwards, we’ll stop at what used to be the Carrubbers Close Mission (now Carrubbers Christian Centre). D.L. Moody raised money for the permanent building, and also laid the foundation stone in 1883. There will be time for your own activities such as strolling on the Royal Mile. Overnight in Edinburgh

Day 7

EDINBURGH
We drive across the Firth of Forth to St. Andrews, the country’s oldest seat of learning and where golf originated. We take you to the fortress, founded in 1200, and the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral, founded in 1160. This was the largest church in Scotland before its destruction during the Reformation.
John Knox studied at the University of St. Andrews. He was captured by the French at the castle and carried away into slavery in 1547.

Day 8

EDINBURGH LINLITHGOW GLAGOW
Today it is countryside and history. We will visit the ruins of Linlithgow Palace which was a royal residence for 200 years and also birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. Next, we will experience a hearty welcome by the congregation of St. Michaels Parish Church and have a devotion together.

Onward to Stirling, powerful castle and for a long time, main residence of the Scottish Royals. Mary, Queen of Scots was crowned here. We also visit the famous Church of the Holy Rude, where King James VI was crowned and John Knox preached a sermon. Overnight in Glasgow

Day 9

LOCH LOMOND AND GASGOW
Full day excursion in to the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park. See the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond, the home of the Colquhoun Clan, where we’ll enjoy a cruise while taking in the wildlife with a chance to see deer and osprey.
While at St. Kessog’s Church, you can see a 9th Century Hogback stone left in the churchyard by Vikings. St. Kessog was one of the very first Christian martyrs in Scotland.

We will return to Glasgow TO VISIT Glasgow’s St Mungo’s Cathedral. Overnight Glasgow.

Day 10

GLASGOW TRF OUT
After breakfast transfer to Glasgow Airport and board your flight home.
